Celebrating the 117th anniversary of Bulgaria's independence

In the presence of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria, Natalia Kiselova, as well as other high-ranking representatives of Bulgarian institutions, the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo and Bulgarian church dignitaries, the 117th anniversary of Bulgaria's independence was solemnly marked today.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Milan Ravić, together with the Ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Montenegro and a representative of the Embassy of the United States of America, attended the ceremony marking the event and then laid flowers at the place where the Manifesto of Independence was published and read in 1908. After that, all the dignitaries and citizens participated in the solemn festive procession through the streets of the city!
