Church of the Holy Forty Martyrs in Veliko Tarnovo
After participating in the joy of marking the 117th anniversary of the independence of our Bulgarian neighbors, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria Milan Ravić, in the Church of the Holy Forty Martyrs in Veliko Tarnovo, paid homage to the grave site, which, shortly after his repose, housed the relics of the former Serbian prince, who despised everything earthly in order to forge for eternity - together with his parent - our special statehood, church independence, education, healthcare, as well as a moral code based on universal love, respect and understanding for every person. The fact that our Saint Sava died as a guest of his friend, the Bulgarian Emperor Ivan Asen II, and that his tomb is preserved with due care to this day in this same temple, which was built and in which that great Bulgarian ruler rests, will remain a pledge of friendship and deep mutual respect and closeness between our peoples until the end of time.
