The Day of Saint King Milutin celebrated in Sofia

After the Holy Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Week in Sofia, a delegation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Djordje Todorov and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Dejan Antic, in the presence of Ambassador Ravic, today paid homage to the relics of the Holy King Milutin in the Church of the Holy Week in Sofia.

Immediately afterwards, the Feast of the Holy King, which the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates with prayer on this day, was solemnly celebrated at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia. After the consecration and cutting of the slava cake, Dj. Todorov and D. Antic, H.E. Aleksandra Micic, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Bulgaria, the Serbian diaspora in Bulgaria, as well as numerous other guests from the two countries, together with the hosts, took part in the festive Slava table of love. Remembering the monumental personality of the Holy King, who constantly strengthens the closeness of the two brotherly Christian peoples, the Embassy and this year's host of the Slava, Mr. Negovan Josifovic, were especially happy to host the rector of the Church of St. Sunday in Sofia, where the clergy, led by Father Biser, take care of the relics of the great saint and former Serbian autocrat with due care and in the spirit of Christian love.
