III Balkan folklore festival

The 3rd Balkan Folklore Festival opened in Bansko, featuring folklore ensembles from the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Bulgaria and Greece. In this context, the Serbian Ambassador to Bulgaria, M. Ravić, at the invitation of the Municipality of Bansko, attended the ceremonial reception of folklore ensembles from Serbia in that Municipality, which was organized by the Mayor of Bansko, Stoiča Banenski, as the patron of the festival.

On that occasion, it was noted that such events are of exceptional importance as an obvious indicator of developed cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Bulgaria in the field of culture, but also as an instrument for further deepening and expanding the scope of ties and relations between the citizens and peoples of the two countries.

Serbian folklore ensembles from the Republic of Serbia are represented at this significant event by 650 children of primary school age from almost all regions of the Republic of Serbia.
